Purpose of Children's Ministry:
The purpose of our Children's Ministry is to glorify God by aiding parents in the Christian training of their children. We strive to do this by equipping families with the knowledge of Scripture and doctrine through the distribution of Bible memory verses and catechetical resources and by teaching the truth of the Gospel each Lord’s Day.
We currently have Sunday school classes for elementary and middle and high-school-aged students grades K4 through completed 12th grade. Beginning July 24, 2022, the younger children will learn from Building Little Pillars: The Lord's Prayer, a 10-lesson series. The older kids will learn alongside the adults during Sunday School.
Sunday Worship Worksheets
Children are encouraged to pick up a "My Worship Notes" page on the Children's table each Sunday morning. These worksheets are to be used to engage the children during the service. The worksheet prompts them to listen for specific words our Pastor says during the sermon and to draw a picture which coincides with the message.
We are a church absolutely committed to protecting all of the children in the church from any type of abuse and we use the MinistrySafe program to help us accomplish this. Consequently, all of our employees and volunteers are required to watch a sexual abuse awareness training video and complete a brief comprehension exam. We also require all of our childcare volunteers and employees to agree to a background check.
For more information about these resources or our Sunday school curriculum please email our Children's Ministry Director and Nursery Coordinator, Andrea Mingledorff, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
