The Blind See & The Seeing Are Blind - Part 1

January 22, 2023 Speaker: Rev. David Senters Series: John's Gospel

Topic: Sermons Verse: John 9:1–23

God displays his glory through suffering.

How can we come to a place that we, too, can see that God's glory is displayed through suffering?

1. If you are going to see that God displays his glory through suffering, you have to come to Jesus who is the light for anyone blinded by suffereing, and then see the ultimate meaning for your suffering.

2. The result of this is for us to share. God displays his glory through suffering, and then sends us to share the light with those who are enduring suffering. v.8, This man still endured suffering. His eyes at some point went back to being blind.

3. Some are surprised by God's glory being displayed through suffering, v.9. Some are skeptical, v.13. Some cause a schism, v.16. Some are silent, v.22.
